Acting Pal is an AI-driven application designed to assist actors in self-taping and memorizing lines independently of scene partners. The platform employs some of the most advanced AI voice technology available, providing responses that closely mimic those of a real reader.

Developed in collaboration with casting professionals, Acting Pal aims to ensure that users' self-tapes adhere to industry standards. Additionally, the app is partnered with Sam Stiglitz, a distinguished acting coach and former casting director, adding valuable expertise to its development.

<li>Upload Script: Unlike many similar apps that require recording lines for each character, Acting Pal allows users to upload scripts in PDF format. The app then extracts relevant lines to streamline preparation.</li>
<li>Self-Tape Without Scene Partner: Users can record self-tapes utilizing highly realistic AI voices from a selection of over 42 options, featuring various ages and accents. The AI responds in a manner akin to a real reader. There are no limitations on takes or recording time.</li>
<li>Active Response: Acting Pal listens actively and recognizes when the user has completed their final line, responding accordingly—simulating the cueing of a real reader. A separate mode also enables timing per line, with adjustable parameters.</li>
<li>Teleprompter, Editing, and Volume Control: The app includes a customizable teleprompter feature along with editing tools and volume adjustments to facilitate professional-quality recordings.</li>
<li>Memorization and Line Learning: Enabling memorization mode alters the script visually so only initial letters of words are displayed, employing a proven mnemonic technique for effective memorization.</li>
<li>User-Imported Audio and Cold Read Simulation: Users can record or import their own audio for lines and cue lines, supporting self-taping and cold reading exercises with personalized voiceovers.</li>
<li>Security: Scripts are stored locally on the user’s device by default, ensuring privacy and security.</li>

Acting Pal offers a free 3-day trial of its premium service. Following the trial, if you choose to continue, your subscription will automatically renew at $9.99 USD (or local equivalent) per month unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to renewal.
